Some of the organisations in Australia who train and place Public Access Certified and/or Companion Dogs. Most of the organisations that supply Public Access Certified Dogs ask families to fundraise $15,000 towards the cost of raising and training a dog, and the waiting times are 2-3 years. Some of the organisations listed here will only place dogs locally, but most work within a wide geographic area – some even Australia-wide.
Righteous Pups (Bendigo, Vic) – Public Access Certified Dogs.
Smart Pups (Sunshine Coast, Qld) – Public Access Certified Dogs.
Guide Dogs Australia – some state organisations (linked to from this page) provide Public Access Certified Autism Assistance Dogs, and all of them will provide Companion Dogs.
Craig Murray Dog School (Qld) – Public Access Certified Dogs.
MindDog (NSW) – will assist families to train their own dog to pass the Public Access test.
Assistance Dogs Australia (NSW) – Companion Dogs.
Tamaruke Labradoodles (NSW) – Companion Dogs.
