Early Days Workshops – Australian government-funded free workshops for parents of children under the age of 6 who exhibit ASD-like traits (diagnosis not required). Available online, but I found the workshops far more beneficial!
Stepping Stones Triple P is a parenting course for parents of a child with a disability. Having already successfully raised one child, I had a certain amount of pride to overcome before registering for a parenting course – but found the content useful, and came away with some good ideas and strategies to implement. Triple-P began at the University of Queensland, Australia, and is now available in over 24 countries. Triple P is free in Qld until July 2015.
Stepping Stones is also now available online, with regular scheduled phone contact from one of the trainers – register on their website.
Positive Partnerships – some good online courses about Autism, and dates for free workshops as well.
